Bird Watch - 04-29-08

There has been a tragedy in the little birdy world.



As I mentioned the other day, only one baby was left in the nest. We do not know what happened to the others but I worried that this remaining baby was abandoned.



Well, the mommy and daddy bird did return later that day so I thought this one had not been forgotten.



Yesterday after work I checked on the nest. The little one did not survive. Very sad news. I hope the rest of the family has found a safe home elsewhere.



Now we are left with a logistical question. What do we do with the bird? I really don't like the idea of a dead bird hanging on my front door. I think we will leave it there for a few days to see if the birds have their own way of dealing with this.
