The states out of context *are* really difficult. You're right -- some are easy, but some are down right hard.

My favorite was your Hannah clue. ;) (Although, it shows that my kids don't watch that show because it still took me a minute after that.)

My guy is a history teacher so he teaches geography as well. One Sunday, he was grading tests. They were your usual fill-in-the map tests of the US and Canada.

I bragged that it'd be easy.

OMG.

I manged the midwest, and completely forgot about the Hannah state. And then I tried Canada. I can't believe how little I know about Canada! So I just made up names like "North Maine" and "John Candy Province."
